It's the fact their staff seem entirely dedicated to selling scratch cards that annoys me. It’s easier to get by being herded about like cattle if you can just switch off and go to sleep. But with Ryanair you get disturbed every 2 minutes with them trying to punt stuff to you while they have you trapped. Even on the shortest flights they have to do the entire 3 rounds - overpriced instant coffee, cuddly toy then raffle tickets.

And their staff are...

...I am sorry, I really shouldn’t have started this.

I find their policy of adding extra charges too confusing to calculate up front, so I tend to avoid flying with them at all.

The discount airlines made a bold step switching to this type of business model to take on the big boys. History has shown us that starting an airline can break even the most experienced and rich businessman.

This has resulted in far better competition where the savings are passed on directly to the passenger, with these fees being the only minor drawback.
